Custom Display Solutions for the Northern Shaanxi Old Oil Lamp Museum | Huabo Exhibition Project Case
The Northern Shaanxi Old Oil Lamp Museum reopened this year with a newly designed exhibition space inspired by the cultural characteristics of northern Shaanxi. As one of the largest private collections of historical oil lamps in the region, the museum houses more than a thousand artifacts spanning various dynasties and materials.
To support this important renovation project, Shenzhen Huabo Art Exhibition Cultural Engineering Co., Ltd. delivered a full set of 31+ custom museum display cases, designed to enhance artifact presentation, visitor experience, and long-term preservation. Comprehensive Display Case System for Dedicated Museum Collections
In this project, our team supplied multiple display cabinet types: freestanding units, niche cabinets, hanging units, counter units, and wall cabinets. Each design was customized to fit the museum’s spatial layout, lighting, artifact features, and curation needs.
Highlight 1: Ground-Embedded Niche Display Cases
One of the most distinctive features of the project is the ground-embedded niche display case. Made with high-strength laminated glass, the structure supports significant load-bearing capacity while allowing visitors to view the artifacts in a “sub-surface” context. This approach recreates the feeling of archaeological discovery and effectively enhances the storytelling dimension of the exhibition.
Highlight 2: Grid Display Case with Adjustable Lighting
Another custom design is the 4×6 grid display case, featuring 24 independent compartments, each equipped with adjustable LED lighting. This allows curators to present a diverse collection of oil lamps while maintaining consistency, clarity, and focus. Dual hinged glass doors ensure accessibility, safety, and easy maintenance.
